Asian Chili Crab

My flatmates and I went to the fish market to cook seafood and celebrated Eid. That was my first time to cook and eat crab here in Dubai. I enjoyed the crab although I have allergies in seafood. Here is the recipe.

What you will need:

1 kg Fresh Crab (Cut in half)
Cornstarch
Oil
Chili Flakes
Ginger
Garlic
Onion
1 cup water
1 1/2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. Oyster Sauce or Hoisin Sauce (whichever is available)
1 tbsp. Soy sauce
1 tbsp. Spiced Vinegar
1/4 cup lemon juice
Parsley
Salt
Pepper

What you will do:

1. Preheat the wok. Cut the crab in half. Season with salt and pepper. Dredge in cornstarch. Deep fry for 2 minutes. Set aside.
2. Sautee garlic, ginger, onion and chili flakes. Add water, oyster sauce or hoisin sauce, soy sauce, spiced vinegar, lemon juice, sugar. Bring to a boil. Add salt and pepper according to taste preference. Then add the crab. Turn off the heat and add parsley.
3. Eat with your hands!
